Why did I develop a Codeine allergy after taking it for 33yrs? - codeine and prozsac

I have chronic pain and leg pain specialist i will not need me for an adequate pain relief, thereby supplementing with codeine.
Today I had an allergic reaction to codeine.
What should I do?
